Our tours, Traditional & Modern Japan, Beauty in Kyōto, and Unseen Japan are designed to complement each other by providing different, but clearly linked views of Japan.
In Traditional & Modern Japan we will look at the historically significant cultural developments associated with the various capitals of Japan – Nara, Kyoto, Kamakura and Edo (modern-day Tokyo) – whilst on the Beauty in Kyōto tour there will be, through an extended stay, the chance to appreciate the cultural significance of this ancient capital.
In Unseen Japan there will be the opportunity to see rural Japan and explore ‘off the beaten track’, the cultural traditions that underpin Japanese society.
